The Blue Boar: ideally situated for North Norfolk attractions

Things to do & what to see in North Norfolk

The outstanding natural beauty of the North Norfolk coast and a host of other attractions...

The Norfolk BroadsThe village of Great Ryburgh lies two miles south-east of the historic market town of Fakenham in Norfolk. With a history stretching back at least 1000 years it was mentioned in the world-famous Doomsday book and in Victorian times was served by Ryburgh station on the old Great Eastern Railway. The village church of St. Andrew's is a superb example of the 124 round tower churches in Norfolk.

The river Wensum flows through the village, just a hundred yards from The Blue Boar Inn, before meandering on to the magnificent bustling medieval city of Norwich.

Norfolk holds a tremendous amount of attractions and places of interest for visitors and residents alike. Probably most famous for the hundreds of miles of tranquil inland waterways that make up the Norfolk Broads Nelson's county also offers other areas of outstanding natural beauty – such as North Norfolk where The Blue Boar is happily situated.

With a host of exciting and interesting locations to explore you won't be short of things to do and see - historic stately homes, shopping, family entertainment, serene nature reserves and much more – you'll find it all under Norfolk's open skies...
