The Norfolk Broads The village of Great Ryburgh lies two miles south-east of the historic market town of Fakenham in Norfolk. With a history stretching back at least 1000 years it was mentioned in the world-famous Doomsday book and in Victorian times was served by Ryburgh station on the old Great Eastern Railway. The village church of St. Andrew's is a superb example of the 124 round tower churches in Norfolk.

The river Wensum flows through the village, just a hundred yards from The Blue Boar Inn, before meandering on to the magnificent bustling medieval city of Norwich.
